Death came looking for young Federico an unhappy Tuesday afternoon.
But that day Federico hung around with his friends and Death stayed three
hours waiting for him. In the end, full of boredom, Death got tired of
awaiting and she took away next door's neighbour, a much more earnest man
than young Federico.
Doña Francisca was extremely meticulous and she used to
clean the windows every day. So transparent were the glasses that little
sparrows would not notice their existence, and every day she swept a heap
of little birds which, thinking the way to bread crumbs on the table was
free, crashed against Doña Francisca's glasses.
Little ass Soplillos was very playful and he liked to kill flies
with his tail. One day he killed a cow. Little ass Soplillos was not very
good in Zoology.
Morbid Don Arturo had the vice of attending all funerals. He
used to take his black suit out of the wardrobe, brush it precisely and go
to the graveyard dressed properly. One day he arrived in Cemetary dressed in
familiar olive gree. It was his own burial and he didn't have time to
dress for.
The Martinez had a great fondness for soup. Everyday, both at lunch
and dinner, delicious plates with the most varied soups were tasted.
So famous were the soups of the Martinez that flies from very distant
places came to fall in them.
Doctor Pelaez was awoken during a chilly night. It was an anguished
mother, worried for her ill son. The doctor reached the patient's bed and
he examined him. He urgently prescribed the mother a pair of glasses. The
terrible green spots the kid had were nothing but the pattern of his
pyjamas.
Raindrops fell noisily on the windows of the mansion when the
major-domo found Mr. Butterfly's dead body. Inspector Harrods from
Scotland Yard was there inmediately and it didn't take long for him to
realize that the victim had fallen down the stairs and that accident had
caused his death. When it stopped raining, the funeral house employees
came and they took away the corpse from the loft.
Jean-Pierre de Burdeaux was the best sword among the Musketeers and
he had the opportunity of demonstrating it in that inn full of bandits and
mischief-makers. The pink elephant had no chance at all.
Hillwaters Butcher was arrested after an intensive investigation
conducted by police. He was arrested when he was about to return home. He
was still covered with blood and the scene turned the stomachs of more
than one officer when they went back to the room he had just left. He
appeared before a judge, trial took place and he was imposed a severe
penalty. Hillwaters Butcher never again would sell cat mean instead of
hare's in his small food shop.
HX-1984PZ was the most powerful computer ever built. Its gigantic
memory and its prodigious computing capabilities made it so unique among
the computers of all the world. Until, one time the programmer was not
paying attention, a kind of joker asked it what was first, egg or hen,
and the fabulous computer went all idiotic.
Grandma Virtudes was beloved by all her neighbours. She was a kind
elderly woman who would not harm a fly. Every morning she used to stand in
her doorway and watered her plants lovingly. She owned flowerpots with
a variety of vegetable species, many of which were unknown in the
village, and she took care of them tenderly. But a sad morning one of
the plants ate the postman, and the neighbours did not look at Grandma
Virtudes in such a sympathetic and trustful way any longer.
